The people, households, prayer requests, notes, updates, important dates, follow-ups, answered prayers and prayer history you add in Personal mode are stored in this browser's local storage on this device. They are not uploaded to PrayC, and Salt & Mercy Co. does not receive or store them.

Personal mode needs no account, no email address and no password.

Because nothing is kept on a server, clearing your browser or app data, or losing this device, may permanently remove your Personal prayer information. Use Export Backup in Personal Settings to keep a copy, and Import Backup to restore it.

You may voluntarily join the Salt & Mercy Co. email list for weekly Scripture, occasional free phone wallpapers and updates. If you do, we store only your email address, an optional first name, your consent, the date of that consent, the source of the signup and your unsubscribe status.

That record is kept completely separately from prayer data. No prayer request, no person's name, no note, no health detail and no follow-up history is ever written to it or used to segment email. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

Voice entry uses your browser's own speech recognition. Depending on your browser and device, that audio may be processed by your browser or phone maker's speech service rather than entirely on your device — we tell you this before your first use. Prayer Connect never sends your voice or its transcription to our servers.

A church prayer team needs the same information on several people's phones and computers, so Church Team mode data is stored on PrayC's servers and synchronized to authorized members of your church.

Access is controlled: your church's records are isolated from every other church, and a prayer marked Just Me is readable only by the person who created it — including in printouts and exports. Church admins cannot read another member's Just Me prayers.

Salt & Mercy Co. does not sell prayer data, does not use prayer content for advertising or marketing, and does not use prayer content to train AI.

Church prayer content is protected by access control and encryption in transit and at rest on our infrastructure. It is not currently end-to-end encrypted, which means we do not claim that Salt & Mercy Co. is technically unable to access it. We would rather tell you the truth than make a claim the software doesn't support. Client-side encryption is planned, and the app is being built so it can be added later.

Login email, your first and last name, your church's name, logo, accent colour and prayer team name, your role and team membership, the security information needed to sign you in, your prayer records, and the technical timestamps and identifiers needed to make sync work. We don't ask for profile information the app doesn't need.

Church account emails are used for signing in, invitations, password and security messages, and necessary PrayC service notices. Creating a church account never adds anyone to the Salt & Mercy Co. marketing list.

If we measure anything, it is limited to things like the app being opened, which mode was chosen, and generic feature use such as printing or exporting, plus anonymous error information. Names, prayer text, notes, household names and follow-up details are never sent to analytics.
